As a recreational program, Freedom Optimist Soccer doesn’t host paid camps, only free clinics. Here is a list of local soccer camps we’re aware of.

Freedom Optimist Soccer Free High School Tryout Training
Is your player trying out for a local high school soccer program this Fall? Freedom Optimist Soccer is setting up summer clinics to help prepare our players for high school soccer tryouts!
There are two planned sessions, Wednesday, 17 June 2026, and Friday, 10 July 2026, where coaches will go over the tryout process, and help players prepare for the tryouts. We will also have a summer training plan to send out to all registered attendees. There is no fee for these sessions.

Mustang Soccer Academy Youth Camps
Mustang Soccer Academy Youth Camps, where Director, Graeme Millar, and his coaching staff are excited to host the upcoming MSA youth and college soccer camps. With over 20 years of experience in college, club, and youth soccer, the camps serves individuals looking to improve their abilities or showcase their skills to reach the next level. All instructors are current collegiate and club coaches, and will provide a high level of instruction on premier college fields.
Full Day (9am-3pm) or Half Day (9am-12pm) camps are offered. Extended care (3pm-4pm) is also available.

Dragon Elite Co-Ed Soccer Camps
The Dragon Elite Soccer Day Camp is designed by Bradley Sellar, the GCS Boys Varsity Soccer Coach, to promote individualized learning of techniques and skills. Campers will enjoy games, structured practices, and World Cup tournaments, ensuring maximum participation and fun. They will also learn advanced technical skills and develop an understanding of individual and group tactics. The coach must ensure players have a memorable experience, improve the technical and tactical skills of the game while having a great time, making new friends, and developing a love for the game. Each player will receive an individual feedback form from the coaches to let parents know how they developed over the session and what they can do at home to continue to improve their skills.
Coach Bradley Sellar is the current GCS Boys Varsity Soccer Coach. Coach Sellar played soccer in Northern Ireland before moving to the US to work for UK Elite Soccer as a full-time Coach. He is currently the Head Coach for boys’ teams at both Freedom Soccer Club and Westminster Soccer Association as well as being a board member for Freedom Optimist Rec Soccer. Coach Sellar has worked at and organized camps across the East Coast in his previous role as Assistant Regional Manager at UK Elite and is excited to bring his experience and passion to the Dragons Elite program at GCS.

Green Terror Summer Youth Camp
The Green Terror Youth Soccer Camp is designed for players of all skill levels and aims to provide each player with an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Campers will develop their individual technical skills as well as learn the importance of teamwork. Daily instruction will include individual and small group training and full field games.

Nike Soccer Camp
The Nike Girls Soccer Camp at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland offers an exceptional summer soccer experience set on a picturesque and welcoming collegiate campus. A three‑time sellout, this highly regarded camp provides young female athletes with the opportunity to train, compete, and live like college players in an environment designed to inspire growth, confidence, and independence.
Campers benefit from daily training sessions on McDaniel’s excellent athletic facilities while experiencing college life through extended‑day and overnight options. The overnight experience allows players to fully immerse themselves in the collegiate setting, living in residence halls, participating in structured evening activities, and forming meaningful connections with teammates both on and off the field.
