The following describes the basic process to register a player for a Freedom Optimist Soccer program. The steps for registering to be a volunteer, a Shooting Stars player or volunteer, or referee are similar except for the questions about the registrant and any fees may differ (there are no fees for volunteering, the Shooting Stars program, or refereeing).
Step 1: Click the appropriate Registration button in the top right of our homepage. This will direct you to our registration and season management platform SportsEngine. Players should use the Players registration option. Volunteers and Coaches should use the Volunteer registration option.


Step 2: If you have not registered on SportsEngine before, for Freedom Optimist Soccer or any other program, when you enter your email address you may be asked to create a SportsEngine account. Otherwise, log into your existing SportsEngine account.
Step 3: Click the Continue button when you see the program registration. 
Step 4: Select the player to register, or add a new household member to register, and click Continue.
Step 5: Enter the registrant’s details, such as their contact information, parent/guardian details, additional emergency contact details, school and sports experience, important medical information, uniform sizes, etc. (NOTE: Make sure to confirm the uniform sizes selected! Did you select Adult or Youth? Will the size account for any growth between now and the season start?)
Step 6: Select the appropriate Division for the player. For school age players, the Division is based on what grade the player will be in at the time of the season. For example, if you are registering a player for the Fall season, select the grade they will be in when school starts in the coming Fall.
Step 7: Have you considered donating to our Shooting Stars program? 
Step 8: Read through and accept the Consent Forms and Waivers. Please make sure to read each thoroughly, as they list County, Rec & Parks, and Freedom Optimist Soccer policies that all attendees and participants must adhere to.
Step 9: Review the information supplied, including the Division selected, uniform sizes, contact details.
Step 10: After you have confirmed the supplied information, restart the process
to register any other players in your family for any family discounts, or select Continue,
Step 11: Once all players have been added, complete the registration by checking out
and completing payment.
Step 12: An email will be sent confirming the registration. Make sure to check any Junk or Spam folders.

Please note: Player or Team requests are only allowed in Clinic and Kindergarten Divisions (and are not guaranteed to be honored). Any other team or player requests submitted will be ignored.
