U.S. Soccer Coach For Community Program

U.S. Soccer Federation has partnered with Maryland State Youth Soccer Association to launch the U.S. Soccer Coach For Community Program. This FREE program is focused on providing coaching education resources. The goal is to connect member associations with local soccer leaders to help create better player environments, which will increase player participation as well as retain players and coaches.

Each participant will also receive a FREE voucher for a U.S. Soccer Online Grassroots Coaching Course ($25 value).

From 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Classroom: Freedom Optimist Hall – 6315 Sykesville Rd, Eldersburg,, MD 21784 (15min transition time to arrive at field)
Then from 7:45 – 8:45 pm Field Session: Freedom Park – 100 Raincliffe Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.

Each participant will need to create an account in the U.S. Soccer Learning Center and register for the event.

  1. Please create a profile through U.S. Soccer’s Learning Center. Simply go here http://learning.ussoccer.com and click on “Sign Up” to fill out the information as requested. If you already have an account, please go to step #2.
  2. Once you have completed step 1, you will be ready to register for the Coach for Community Event.
  3. Once you have registered, register for the course at https://learning.ussoccer.com/coach/courses/available/31/details/20007586

If you have 20 minutes before the session, please try to complete the free Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Once you log in to the Learning Center, simply go to available courses, click on the Introduction tab, click on Proceed to Registration, then go to the assignments tab where you will see the module. Click on the module and follow the instructions the video gives you. It should take about 20 minutes to complete and you can start and stop if needed.
