Coach For Community

The U.S. Soccer Federation is committed to growing the quality and quantity of trained youth coaches, through affordable and accessible entry-level grassroots coach education resources.

As part of this commitment, U.S. Soccer Federation has partnered with Maryland State Youth Soccer Association to launch the U.S. Soccer Coach For Community Program. This FREE program is focused on providing coaching education resources. The goal is to connect member associations with local soccer leaders to help create better player environments, which will increase player participation as well as retain players and coaches.

Through this partnership, Maryland State Youth Soccer Association in collaboration with Freedom Optimist Soccer will host a Coach for Community event led by Nathean Meadows on Thursday, August 15th from 6:30 pm – 8:45 pm!

  • It will launch with a 1-hour classroom session, which will provide an overview of best practices for coaching Grassroots players at Freedom Optimist Hall – 6315 Sykesville Rd, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
  • The event will continue with a 1-hour field session, which will provide practical application of the Play, Practice, Play (PPP) methodology. Field Session at Freedom Park – 100 Raincliffe Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.

We ask that you attend both the classroom and field sessions!

Each participant will need to create an account in the U.S. Soccer Learning Center in order to register for the event.


HOW TO REGISTER
1. Please create a profile through U.S. Soccer’s Learning Center. Simply go here http://learning.ussoccer.com and click on “Sign Up” to fill out the information as requested. (If you already have an account, please go to step #2)
2. Once you have completed step 1, register for the event at https://learning.ussoccer.com/coach/courses/available/31/details/20000480.
